Configuring a New Task Recorder Framework

In order to create a new business process template we need to create a Framework. This will be the parent that we will use to for all of our workflow groups and activities.

NOTE: This is part of the Creating Lifecycle Services Business Process Models with the Task Recorder blueprint series where we show how to use the Task Recorder feature within Dynamics AX to create template business process models within Lifecycle Services. How to do it…

To add a new Framework, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Framework menu button from the Setup group of the Setup ribbon bar of the task recorder.
  2. When the SysRecorder Framework dialog box is displayed, click on the New button in the menu bar to create a new Framework record.
  3. Assign your record a Framework, a Framework name, and a Publisher. When you have done that, click the Close button to exit the form.
  4. Now when you return to the Task Recorder, now you will see the new Framework record within the Framework drop down list.

How it Works…

When you select the new Framework that you created, you will see an empty framework structure.
